Kenya Diaspora Investment Strategy

The Kenya Diaspora Investment Strategy (DIS) is a five-year policy framework developed by the State Department for Diaspora Affairs (SDDA) under the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. It aims to harness the financial, intellectual, and entrepreneurial potential of the Kenyan diaspora as a catalyst for inclusive national development. Rooted in the vision of a globally engaged and empowered diaspora, the strategy seeks to transform remittance flows— currently dominated by household consumption—into structured, productive investments aligned with Kenya’s development priorities

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!!

The State Department for Diaspora has launched the nominations for Jamhuri Award 2024 in various categories. All members of the diaspora are encouraged to participate.

Nominating body or persons are encouraged to provide evidence of the nominees’ achievements and other supporting documents.

For more information on the application and nomination process, the Awards Manual and Nomination Form are herein attached

HIGH COMMISSIONER GRACES KENYA AIRWAYS LAUNCH OF TAIFA AND MASHARIKI FARES EVENT

Amb. Jane Ndurumo accompanied by Ambassadors and High Commissioners from EAC member States in Pretoria attended the Launch of Taifa and Mashariki discounted fares tailored for Kenyans in Diaspora and East African Citizens in Diaspora. The EAC Ambassadors lauded the Airline for putting together a special package that aims to promote smooth and efficient air transport by EAC diaspora.

HEADS OF MISSION FROM EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY IN THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA MEET, COMMIT TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATIONS AND PROMOTE EAC AS A REGION IN SOUTH AFRICA

Heads of Mission from East African Community member states in the Republic of South Africa held a meeting on 5th June, 2024 at the High Commission of the Republic of Uganda in the Republic of South Africa. During the meeting, the EAC group resolved to enhance collaborations and solidarity as well as actively promote EAC as a region in South Africa.
